Kris Steele Tapped for Oklahoma’s Pardon and Parole Board
Gov. Mary Fallin appointed former Republican speaker of the Oklahoma House, Kris Steele, to serve on the state's Pardon and Parole Board.
Steele was speaker of the House from 2010-2012 and currently serves as executive director of The Education and Employment Ministry, an organization dedicated to helping former inmates transition to society.
Steele will serve on the board until January 2019.

In 2017, 428 Florida inmates died making it the deadliest year ever. This is an increase from the 356 deaths in 2016.
